The Chapel distributed grants totaling $28,500 (slightly over 50% of our 2017 operating income) to the following fourteen organizations:
246 Community Kitchen (new) Our grant helps update kitchen equipment for free weekly dinners served throughout the winter.
Alzheimer’s Family Support (new) Assists Cape families coping with dementia.
Cape Abilities Serves individuals with disabilities on Cape Cod by providing education, counseling, and residential, therapeutic, social and employment supports.
Community Development Partnership Develops and delivers programs that foster an economically and environmentally sustainable Lower Cape Cod community.
Dexter Keezer Fund Assists people of Truro in meeting genuine crises through individual grants.
Habitat for Humanity Develops affordable housing for Cape residents; with plans for nearly 20 upcoming builds, 5 are in Chatham and Truro.
Helping our Women Provides direct assistance to Outer Cape women diagnosed with chronic, life-threatening, or disabling conditions.
Homeless Prevention Council Helps people at risk of losing their homes on the Lower and Outer Cape.
Hospice of Cape Cod Provides hospice services to the Outer Cape.
Lower Cape Outreach Provides emergency assistance of food, clothing, and financial support.
Mustard Seed Kitchen Prepares and delivers meals in Wellfleet, Truro, and Eastham.
Outer Cape Health Services Provides urgent and primary health care services.
Wellfleet Audubon Wildlife Sanctuary Specifically provides scholarship assistance to year-round residents for their children to attend educational camps.
Wellfleet in Need An arm of the Wellfleet Council on Aging; provides immediate assistance with medicine, food, and basic needs.
